When did you start giving your kids cows milk?
I know they say 1 year, but did anyone do it earlier?

maybe a week earlier, I dont remeber exactly but I know it was about 1 year.

Claire is just 11 months old now and I am going to start introducing cows milk to her this week in small amounts. She is EBF and when she is 1 year I plan to stop pumping at work so those bottles will be cows milk during the day, then I will see about weaning her in the morning and night depending on how things work out.
Her ped recommended to give her 1-2 oz in a sippy cup a day and said it was ok to start around 11 months, so this is what we will do to start and then gradually add 1-2 oz of cows milk to each of her 3 BM bottles during the day until it is all cows milk.
Although her ped recommends to wean off bottles around a year as well, I dont want to have too many transitions for her, so we will keep the bottles around for a few more months....

I had skim milk since birth no problems for me:) I'm a huge milk drinker still to this day.
My older brother had problems with formula so our ped put him on 1/2 water/ 1/2 skim and vitamins so when I came along the doc just said to do the same.

I happend to be out longer then I thought I would be and didn't have another formula bottle for marissa so I rinsed one of the bottles out and put some milk in it and she was loving it she was 9 months so since then I was putting 1/2 milk 1/2 formula until I was done with the formula then I just went to straight milk and she was fine with it.

At her 8 month appt. the doctor told me to start Sarah on whole milk yogurt. Not sure how much milk is in it though. We have been using Yo Baby since all the other yogurt in King Kullen is low fat.

I started introducing it in his formula when he was about 11 months old. I started with 2 oz. and every week added 2 more oz, so by the time he was a year it was all whole milk.

11 months. By 1 year, he was all whole milk and I stopped breastfeeding.
