When did you start using the high chair? And, what did you use b/f you did?

If you started solids b/f using the high chair...where did you seat DC when feeding them? Sorry for the stupid q!

starting feeding her around 4 months in her blouncy seat (good incline)...then about 5 months took it to the high chair (which also had a slight incline available until she really started sitting up straight- which was 6 months-ish)

I started feeding her around Christmas time when DH had the highchair in our basement. I sat her up on the table in her bumbo seat it worked good though.

I started using the high chair 4.5/5 mos with both my boys. Before that I fed in the bouncer seat.

We started at 3 months, ours has a great headrest and reclines. He was fine in it.

We also use dthe bumbo seat till he was too big for it.

We started at 5 months and setup the high chair then.

Right now he is sitting in his bouncy seat while he eats

Its working out fine but I'm looking into a high chair that has straps so it will hold him up. He is 5 1/2 mos old so he cant sit up on his own yet. I had him in my sisters high chair (peg perego prima pappa) and strapped him in, he fit in that nicely.

We tried the highchair at about 4 months, and he did fine in it,but I found it inconvenient. so we feed him in the swing right now--of course it isn't on when we do, but he loves it!

I am going to bring the highchair back up next month I think.

When DS was 3 months old we had started cereal while he was in his bouncy seat.

When we started cereal at around 3 1/2 months, I tried the bebe pod and DS hated it so I held him on my lap but that was getting messy so at around 4 months I started using the highchair.

I put him in the high chair a week before he turned 4 mos. I have the FP Rainforest one and it's been great.

We didn't start using the high chair really until she started to eat solids at 6 months - however we did get one of these:



We used it before we started using our rainforest high chair when we went to the club and other places for holiday meals - it is great when you go out to eat b.c. it attaches easily to almost any chair - we bring it to my parents house as well. She really likes it - and in fact would only go in that for a while - b.c I think her regular high chair was too big for her.
