When did you start using your umbrella/lightweight stroller?
When they can sit up on their own, etc.?

Re: When did you start using your umbrella/lightweight stroller?
I didn't use one until well after she was out of the carseat. Actually she was 17 months and we were going to Spain - otherwise I never would have bought it, and I rarely use it to this day.

I knew you waited a long time to use it-- but I guess we'll be keeping it in storage then!!

Re: When did you start using your umbrella/lightweight stroller?
I've been using the citi mini jogger already when we go to shopping or I'm in and out of the car a lot, bc the bug can get a bit cumbersome....

do you still have her in the infant seat?
the jogger she can't face you, right? that is what concerns me. sasha still needs to be "attended" to.

Re: When did you start using your umbrella/lightweight stroller?
I only purchased one when my peg broke and I needed a temporary replacement at 23 months. It is useful and is actually the reason I am going with a mac for a double. I have a jeep single and it is a good stroller when you just need to run in and out of places.

nope,we had the peg perego carrier (stupidest purchase ever) and took her out right when she turned 6 months, the city mini, yes she does not face me, but there are two "windows" on the canopy that they can look at you and you can look into them, and it does recline a lot as well My DH always complains that if he knew about this stroller he NEVER would have gotten the bug, he ADORES this stroller, it literally folds and unfolds iwth one hand

Re: When did you start using your umbrella/lightweight stroller?
6 months when jacen could sit up. I hated the big stroller and the maclaren was much easier and smaller. We used the big stroller for maybe 2 weeks (when he was 5 months old) and haven't used it since.

Re: When did you start using your umbrella/lightweight stroller?
Started using a lightweight stroller at 8 months old. It was just easier to fold up and scoot around town with. We got the Graco Mosaic in Jewel.

Re: When did you start using your umbrella/lightweight stroller?
we started using our citi mini when we took DS to Florida when he was 3.5 months old. Our bug was going to be a pain to travel with.

Re: When did you start using your umbrella/lightweight stroller?
DD is 2 and I have been commenting to friends lately about how I still have a nice umbrella stroller in the box, never even opened. I have a Metrolite as our everyday stroller, and I'm happy with it, like the storage, etc...and don't feel it's bulky at all. So I don't see any reason why I'd use an umbrella stroller.

Re: When did you start using your umbrella/lightweight stroller?
I just bought the city mini as our lightweight stroller. I bought it for travel but we decided to not take DS with us so it's just sitting there. I'll probably start using it when he outgrows the infant part of our stroller. I'm guessing that would be around 9 months.

Re: When did you start using your umbrella/lightweight stroller?
I actually just used my for the first time for MJ's first trip to the beach. He's almost 7 moths and I love it!!!! Lightweight, compact- a dream compared to the full size one.....perfect for short trips or the beach!!
I would def say when they are pretty strong sitters....she'll be most comfy!!

Re: When did you start using your umbrella/lightweight stroller?
Ive been using my city mini since probably about 4 months, but still use the snap and go if she is sleeping and/or the weather is bad.
I barely ever take the infant seat out of the car anymore (unless to snap right in the snap and go) so I use the city mini or put her sitting in the cart at the store.

Re: When did you start using your umbrella/lightweight stroller?
DD is 21 months and I have never used an umbrella stroller. I think we may buy one for our cruise in October, otherwise I would just continue using our Metrolite.

This is what I thought about Shane too....that he still needed to see me and be tended to. Turned out he's just fine facing out. I have in the city mini too....since he turned 4 months. He LOVES it!
