When did you start wearing maternity clothes?
I had a little better luck today finding a few things....when did you start wearing maternity clothes? I find that I need the pants, but the tops look funny being that I don't have a belly to fill them out (at least not a baby belly)...but my regular shirts are not long enough to cover the whole panel (even the non-full panel pants). What did you do?

Re: When did you start wearing maternity clothes?
Honestly, I don't know.
I started wearing tee shirts a little early - cause my shirts we a little on the short side once my belly started to grow.
But as for pants. I started wearing them in my 20th week, but I only have a couple of pairs. I wear Victorias Secret yoga pants - and I went up one size in them, so I really never got into the maternity pants.

Re: When did you start wearing maternity clothes?
This time around? 8 weeks!
The first pregnancy I was in pants sooner than tops. I guess I was full on maternity by 18-20 weeks in my first pregnancy.

Were you in both tops and bottoms at 8 weeks this time? Or just the pants?

what did you get?
I posted in the other thread....but I got like 4 shirts, 3 pairs of pants and a pair of jeans. Then, I ordered a few more things online (more pants basically)....but my shirts are too short
What did you do other than wrap yourself in a sweater

What did you do other than wrap yourself in a sweater i did the same thing, once i figured out my size, i ordered stuff online...
winter is easier in that respect, one can just wear huge sweaters!
i just bought a couple maternity t-shirts that cover the panels, but since it's still a little cold i'm having the same panel exposed problem, some of my 1/2 panel pants are beginning to fall down

Re: When did you start wearing maternity clothes?
This doesn't answer my question
Now that I have pants that actually fit...I can't wear them because my regular shirts are too short and the maternity shirts are too big (in the belly area)

I didn't buy any long sleeve shirts because it's supposed to be spring I don't have the boob problem that you have. Ugh...I guess I I'll have to squeeze into my regular clothes for another few weeks...I didn't tell anyone at work yet, so I don't want to wear anything that looks maternity

Re: When did you start wearing maternity clothes?
I had the same exact problem. In fact, I could've written this post! Here's what I did- around 12 or 13 weeks I started wearing maternity pants- not the full panel style, but the low waist, with the elastic band. All were from Old Navy & Gap. I bought some in the store, ordered some online, and did a lot of returning/exchanging. Ended up with 5 or 6 pairs of work pants and 2 pairs of jeans that I love & will last me until the summer.
To cover the band, I eliminated half the shirts/sweaters I own. Packed them away for next year. Then I bought a bunch of button down shirts in a size larger (M) than I usually wear. They successfully covered the band. Got them all at Old Navy on sale- super cheap, and I can wear them to work after the baby's born. Also, whenever I saw knit shirts that were a bit longer, I bought them (in multiple colors!). I love wearing them because they cover the band and show off my little belly (not so little anymore). Got them all at Old Navy & Gap- not maternity. I bought a few shirts from Gap maternity that were not at all maternity looking- no empire waist or anything- just a bit bigger. Got them online, on sale, and they fit perfect for the early months. Cover the band. However, they would never ever fit me if I were further along in my pregnancy, so they're perfect for right now, and cheap enough to justify the expense. I could easily wear them after the baby is born too.
I don't know how dressed up you need to get for work, but try this stuff...
Good luck!
Gap maternity sale
loooove this shirt with a tank top underneath
I bought some of these in a larger size
button down shirts- very reasonable prices

Thanks...I bought some pants today online at Old Navy and Gap. I don't like button down shirts on me...even when not preggo. I'm sure I can find 1 or 2 things in my closet that are long enough...but not sure I have enough to make it through the work week.
