When did you stop giving jarred food

DS has been pushing the jarred dinners away. But if I offer him cheese, puffs or table food he eats it. Should I discontinue the jarred dinner and only give him table food? I dont feel like he is eating enough....

Re: When did you stop giving jarred food

I never liked the dinners - at about 10 months I was giving what ever we were having for dinner. I would just make the pieces super small, like the diameter of a straw, so if he swallowed it whole - it could go down no problem.

I started transitioning around 9 months and now at 10 months she eats whatever we are having. I have some jarred food that I keep on hand incase we are having something that she can't (which doesn't happen too often) or if we are going to eat really late for some reason.

DD never liked the jarred dinners either. I stopped giving her the baby food meats around 11 months old and veggies/fruits around 12-13 months.

Tried it once and DS wanted no part of it!! He basically went from fruits/veggies straight to table food

I stopped the baby food. he's not eating it anymore and I stopped when he was about 8 1/2 months. He would much rather eat the table food, so that's what he gets.

Andrew always hated the jarred dinners.

He still gets jarred fruit, veggies, and some BF meals. He loves them and is picky so I am not stopping until he wants no part of them.
