When did you stop giving your DC cereal? oatmeal/rice?
Julia just turned one.
And getting pretty bored of her cereal - i think because she is discovering her independence and wants to feed herself - and feeding herself cereal/fruit with a spoon is not happening for her.
How old was your child when you stopped mixing the cereal w/formula etc...? and giving them other foods for breakfast....
We have given her bread, waffles etc...but my question is about cereal.
Im curious to know- since I know that cereal contains vital vitamins and minerals our child need. Any other cereals she can try?

I stopped when Michael started to refuse it. He was a picky table food eater, so the only way for me to make sure he was eating healthy was to continue cereal and baby food and constantly trying table food with him... finally at about 14-15 months old he decided he wanted the real stuff! and after I stocked up on tons of baby food and cereal, he decided he didn't want it ever again! Now, my kid doesn't like anything mushy - go figure!

I'm still giving it to him at 15.5 mos.
ETA: We switch up too. We give him eggs, waffles, toast and pancakes too. But the majority of the time it's cereal for breakfast.

I still give him some and he is 22 months old. He gets all different breakfast foods but he still likes the cereal so I keep giving it to him.

DD is 14 months, and she still has it...sometimes it's all we can get her to eat (especially with whatever this last virus was) and at least I feel like she's getting some nutrition...
I would say from when we started it, we did every day until about 12.5 months...then we started trying to give other foods...but I always keep it on hand

DS will be 16 months next week. He still eats oatmeal in the morning mixed with apple sauce.
Heck... DH eats oatmeal every day for breakfast.

I stopped at around 9 months, she gets "real table food" for breakfast (waffles, cheerios with milk, pancakes, etc)

DS is 13.5 mos and we still give it to him - Ped said it was a good source of iron so we still give it to him a few times a week - i mix in some fruit - he doesn't love it but he doesn't hate it either...
