when did you stop washing their clothes
before they wear it for the first time?
one of my friends stopped doing this when their DC was around 1 year. is that the norm?

I still do it at 18 months, everything gets washed before she wears it except for fancy dresses…I just like the thought of clean clothes against her skin. But I know people who didn’t ever wash their baby’s clothes before they wore them and their kids never had any reactions.

So do I.
Both my parents worked for clothing manufacturers and I have seen the factories where the clothes are made and it is NOT pretty.
When DS is older (maybe 1 yr) I may stop for sweaters and stuff that doesn't directly touch his skin but always for stuff that does directly touch his skin.

I feel this way too after someone I know who was in the industry told us that we should always wash fabric before wearing it.

I still do 90% of the time. I did realize on Christmas Eve that I forgot to wash her special PJ's, so she wore those without them being washed .

I still do and DD is 18 months. She has very sensitive skin and eczyema, so the doc recommended I keep doing it.

you should never stop doing that, IMO.... we do that for our clothing too...
clothing is frequently treated with fixatives like formaldehyde... (aka 'sizing')
