When did you switch from infant car seat to convertible?
DH and i are trying to figure out at what point we will have to switch her her convertible car seat....I know it won't be for a while but when did you?

one of my sisters' switched over at 10months when my neice was alittle over 20 lbs. Your Pedia has to give approval first HTH. She was still rear facing until she hit 1 year

DS is almost 6 months and 30", so already past the height limit for his infant seat.

We had the larger Graco seat, so she was in the infant carrier until her 1st Birthday

Your Pedia has to give approval first HTH.
? what do you mean? I have never heard this, you can switch them to convertable whenever, it just has to remain rear facing until AT LEAST 1 year and 20 lbs

DS was a year old on the 9th and he is still in the infant carrier. He is only 18 lbs 7 oz. and 28 1/2 in. We have the next car seat and were going to change it today but with the snow- we didnt!

Why would you need approval--many of the convertible seats say you can use them from birth.

I switched her at 7 months. We stopped taking her in and out in it at 6 months cause she was just too heavy.

Maybe you're referring to turning the baby from rear to front facing? I have heard that doctors do like to have input because smaller kids who hit the 1 year mark may not be ready to be front facing.
Our DD was quite big for her age- she went into a regular car seat at 5 months.

My DD will be 1 on Wednesday and I just switched her to the convertible car seat. She is just 20 pounds, we set up her seat to still be rear facing.

by height if her legs are hitting the back seat...
by weight if you cant stand to carry the base+dc and the seat is rated for "x" weight.
