When did you switch from the infant carrier?

How old was your DC and how much did they weigh?

I literally can barely lift Sadie in it at this point. I mostly leave it in the car, unless she is sleeping.

Jen, Gracie was 6 1/2 months, she was long & heavy & there was no way I could keep lugging that bulky carrier. I THINK she weighed about 18 lbs

I think 7 or 8 months. He was a peanut though. Maybe 14-15 pounds at that point.

I still haven't and my back is paying the price ! Lexi is just about 19 lbs , but she sleeps so well in her seat, I'm stalling !

We pused it b/c I loved the infant seat. I think he was 8 months and I probably should've switched it around 6.5-7 months.

DD was 9 1/2 months. I don't remember how much she weighed, and I'm too lazy to go downstairs to get her book and find out.

Jen, we're switching Liam at the end of this month. He's 18lbs and its tooo heavy!!!! I'm done. He loves sitting upright anyway in the carriage & high chairs, so we should be a'ok

We are still using it at 7.5 months. DS is almost 18lbs and it is getting tough. We mostly leave it in the car but it is so convenient with the snap and go I haven't had the heart to switch him yet. But man is he heavy!

only because we were going on a trip and wanted to have it with us instead of big seat.

7 months and DS was just about 20 lbs. and within 1/4 inch of the height limit.

I held out for as long as I could!

DS is only 3.5 months old and I already think the damn thing is too heavy. We'll probably use it until he is 6m old.

I had Brynne's big girl car seat installed today! She is 8 1/2 months and over 19lbs. I still have the infant car seat in the other car, but I hardly ever take it in and out. I will be purchasing a new car seat for that car shortly.

4 months and DD was over the weight limit which was 22 lbs(I think)

10 months in my car and 11 months in DH's. He still fit in it tho, but we were done with it

we did it at 4 months old with all 3 of our kids.

#1: 16lbs 12ozs

#2: 19lbs 3 oz

It was not so much for weight but for heigth we had to switch. I stretched to 7.5 months because it was Winter and cold to get him in an out of car but I could not keep waiting. I did not want his head to go OVER the top of the carseat.

We switched the day DD turned 9 months. I don't remember her weight, but she's on the smaller size for her age. It timed perfectly with the end of winter, I really wanted to keep her in it through winter so I could take advantage of not having to put a coat on her to go outside, then take it off in the carseat.

I think she was about 12 months before we put her in the convertible car seat

We switched her right at the 5 month mark. She was still within the weight limit, but she's so long that her feet were hanging a good 2 inches over the edge!

I REALLY miss my snap n go, but DD LOVES her big girl carseat!

We stopped carrying Ethan in that thing at 4 months...now we just take him in and out of it. He's too freakin heavy lol.

We are going to buy a convertible car seat soon because he's rapidly approaching the max. height for the carrier.

13 months for DS. And I will be leaving it DD in it as long as she fits

At 5 months. DS was just to damn big and heavy for the infant one. It was a chore to carry him anywhere in it. We drove back to NY in his "big boy" seat and he was a happy kid.

She still fit and wasn't all that heavy....but I'm a wimp and was getting tired of carrying that thing around!

DD will be 9 months on Sunday, she weighs 21lbs and our new carseat is coming TODAY!!! And if it doesn't come today, we are not going anywhere until it comes...
