Chelsea was 6 months and I couldn't pick it up anymore. She weighted 18lbs.

i think around 6-7 months... my memory stinks!
i actually just kept the infant carrier in the car for a while so i could lift him in and out of the snap n go, but once he hit 8 months i was done and we have 2 convertible car seats now.

I just did at 6 months she was 19.1 lbs and 27 3/4 inches..we had the peg perego carrier and its heavier than the others and I have a big girl, so needless to say it was looooong overdue!!!

Frankie is probably 23 pounds at this point and I have been saying that I am going to switch it for months. I am waiting to get one more convertable car seat for DH's car...

5 months - when his head went over the edge of the top of the carrier. He is in the 75% for height. I could still lift him in the carrier but I did not think he was as safe b/c his head was not protected.

11 months for us. DD was 20 lbs 1oz at 1 year and 29 inches. She was a big baby though - 9lbs 4 ozs at birth.

just few weeks ago, about 1 weeks after DS turned 6 months. He was 19lbs 10 oz at his 6 months appt.

We switched at 7 months but she probably could have switched at 6. She was 17-18 lbs at that point.

6 months-21 and 18 lbs respectively. They were not comfortable in them and would cry in the car
