When did you switch the carseat around?
DS just turned one... and Im not so sure I want him turned around yet...
His feet are touching the seat- but arent cramped....
When did everyone turn their DC around?
If I choose to keep him backwards- is there any adjustments I need to make on the seat (position wise)

We can't switch Miranda yet because she isn't 20lbs. Everything I have read says it is best to keep them rear facing as long as possible so if he's not terribly cramped and protesting a lot I would probably wait it out a bit longer but that's JMO.

We just did it today! Kevin is 13 1/2 months, ~26 pounds and 32". We turned my 1st around @ about 12 1/2 months (he was 29 pounds and 33 1/2").
It was so cute to see his face when he realized he has a new view! 
ETA: you don't need to make any adjustments to the seat now.

WE waited as long as we could with Andrew. He was definitely a big boy, well over 20 lbs, but it was safer that way and he wasn't complaining

With my son, I did it at 12 months. I later read about keeping them rear facing as long as possible so I kept my DD that way longer. Probably till about 15-16 months. I'll do that again with DS #2 if size permits.

We did it this weekend (she'll be 1 on friday) because she was really cramped and was starting to put up a HUGE fuss about getting strapped in. She was climbing all over and crying hysterically when we would make her sit down and now that she is forward facing she is all excited to get in her seat again.

A few months after they turned a year. The pediatrician is the one that should give the go ahead. I had to wait longer with Joseph because he felt that his neck muscles needed more time to develop.

My daughter is 18 months and still rear facing. Her feet touch the seat, but that isn't a safety concern. She never sits with her legs straight out on our couch, why would it matter for the car seat?
(She is 26 pounds and 32.5 inches)

I turned Hayley around a few days after her birthday. She hated to get in her seat but now does not give me a problem at all (she is definetly over the 20lb mark )

we did it when Bryan was 15 months because for some reason he hated being foward facing. I tried around 12 months and all he would do is scream, I tried again in 15 months and he is fine.

We got the go ahead at his 1 year apt (he was 1 yr and a week). He was 20 and 1/2lbs and 29 3/4 in so the dr said it was time.

Did it 2 week before her first birthday, she was 21 pounds and legs hitting the seat, so had to switch her.

We had no choice - our chubawub is way past 20lbs, and her feet hang over the seat, so we had to turn it around when she turned one...
