When did you tell

everyone that you were pregnant? I just got a BFP and am hesitant to share the news until my first gyno appointment. That appointment isn't until March 2nd. (They have a 6-8 week protocol.)

We told immediate family right away and then waited until 12+ weeks for everyone else. I'm 15 weeks and only a few people at my work know.

this is a very personal decision...

for us - we told everyone here at 8 weeks, some CLOSE friends right away and then family at just about 12 weeks....

for us though - that decision was personal, because my mom is an alcoholic and can be VERY cruel at times...so if GOD FORBID anything happened...i wanted to protect myself from what could come out of her mouth...

We heard the heartbeat at 7 weeks, and started telling people then. I was hesitant, but seriously couldn't keep my mouth shut anymore.

We told our immediate families after seeing the heartbeat at 6 weeks. We went through IVF to get pregnant and our families knew what was going on from the start, so we really had to tell them.

Everyone else, we told after the 12 week ultrascreen. I would say between 13-15 weeks is when everyone else found out.

I had always planned on keeping secret until 12 weeks, but never worked out that way.. toooo excitted. Longest I held out was with this baby.. I found out on a friday and told dh on sunday (waited b/c sunday was fathers day).

Another reason I had to tell was b/c of work.. I had to tell work right away b/c of radiation exsposure and couldnt tell work and not tell my family first.

I told my parents then night i got my BFP!



Then we told my sister and his family the weekend after (After I had my first dr's visit, no sono though yet)

Then we told the rest of the family and friends in the middle of 6 weeks, after we saw and heard heartbeat on sonogram.

Around that time I came out on here.

Then I told my boss @ 11 weeks and the rest of work at about 12-13 weeks.

We told my mom and dad right away. We told Dh's parents and the rest of our families only about a week after getting our BFP because it was Christmas. We started telling the rest of our family and close friends after the first sonogram when we could see a little heartbeat, that was at 9 weeks. I haven't told anyone at work yet.

I'm too excited to hold this in.

ETA: I got my BFP 1/20 but my appointment isn't until 2/6.

We've only told our parents. We will wait a few more weeks to tell everyone else.

My parents -knew we were TTC so they found out right away. Probably 3 days after the BFP
IL's and Friends-Probably 8 wks....we waited for Dr.'s appt and to find out their sexes to tell some friends who we see less frequent....
I think it's really a personal thing...

Our parents and my sister right away, close friends after my first DR appointment, and now slowly more people are finding out because DH and I can't help but tell people, and I am 9 1/2 weeks.

I won't tell my supervisors until I am showing, no need for them to know before in my situation
