We've been talking about it for weeks now.. will definitely try it out this weekend. DD just turned 13 weeks.

We moved our DD into her room at exactly 3 months. She was wiggling around the bassinet too much and there wasn't a lot of room in there for her to do that plus she was sleeping through the night. At that point we just figured it was time. We literally put her down in the crib one night and the rest is history. Never had any transition issues thankfully.

We moved DS when he turned 6 months.

She was in our room until her furniture was delivered - about two weeks. She would have been there from day one if her crib was there.

I had people telling me that its easier to have the baby in our room because I was BFing. It made ZERO difference. Once I woke up to nurse, I had to pee first anyway. There was no difference walking back to our room versus hers once I was up and at least DH got some sleep versus neither of us.

A little over 3 months, I loved having him there but I felt like we were keeping him up with the tv and dh sometimes gets home from work at midnight. He didn't even notice the move, I was more upset.

8 weeks---She was a nightmare sleeper before that or it would have been sooner

day 1--it was VERY important to me that DS learn to sleep in his own crib from the very beginning. i will be doing the same with #2

2 months. She started moving her arms around a lot in her sleep, and we were afraid she'd wake herself up in the bassinet, so we moved her into her crib in her own room.

from the first night we were home from the hospital. her room is next to our room & we have a video monitor. I couldn't possibly sleep all night with her in our room. She makes so many little noises that would keep me up all night.

at about 8 weeks old... She enjoys her crib and actually likes hanging out in there. I can put her down when she's wide awake and she falls asleep on her own.


ETA: Just like HOFSTRA's dd, Gianna was playing houdini in her crib, and that's why we put her in her crib at 8 weeks. The bassinet just wasn't cutting it anymore for her.

8 weeks. If I had to do it over, I would start him in his own room right away.

3 months - it killed me to move them into their cribs, it was so sad to see them together in the co sleeper and then have to separate them.

The first night home from the hospital, Jacob slept in the pack n play in out room. Night 2 and forward, he slept in his crib in his room. We felt comfortable since we had the monitors.

Six months, I liked having him close to me for the first six months.
