When did your DC learn/know colors?
I ask this bc I just realized today that I never really went over colors with JJ who will be 18 months. I started to ask him some colors today & he knew red, blue but that was it.
So when did your DC know their colors & did you teach them or did they learn on their own?

DS is too young, but my SIL is just now teaching colors to my niece, she's 2.

If i say to dd find me something in (color) she knows it but still has a hard time saying this is (color) she is 3

He's learning them now in Spanish. He's 15 months. He can say red, blue, and green. English he just started hearing the names of the colors.

around 2 they know red, yellow, green, blue and purple(I think) They don't say it reliably but enough that I think they do. I just always point out colors..so if they say schol bus. I say yes its a yellow school bus, a red truck etc. I do the same with counting...count stairs, toes etc.

At about 22 months he knew them. maybe sometime a few months prior we had a few color books we used to look at & by 22 months he knew red, blue, yellow, purple, green, black, white, orange & pink.

Liam is 21 months and starting to get the concept of colors.
He calls everything "lellow" though. Sometimes if I ask him to receptively ID colors, "show me blue" he will get them right. But, not always. And he has said, red, blue and orange but, that isn't consistant yet either. It's coming. Don't worry.
I just harass him while he's coloring
And I point out colors in a few books. I realized that I need to make a trip to get him some new books. He is bored of his old ones and the others are too over his head. But, I plan to get more shape, color and letter ones.

After two... he's 2.5 now, knows most of his colors, but still mixes them up sometimes.

At 2 she was really good with them but she had liked coloring from an early age.
ETA: her ped said colors are more of a 3 year old skill so while I would start introducing colors, I wouldn't be worried that he is behind at all.

They are learning it now at daycare - DS is 14 months and can say/identify purple (he won't say mama but, he'll say purple  )

I dont remember with my older kids....
But I know DS was around 24 months or so. We never really taught him specifically. We just kind of always pointed things out to him in our day to day world...
Same thing with letters...
He really just kind of picked up on them...

I don't remember the exact age but it was well before 2 that he could point out the colors if asked where they were. He didn't start talking until 22 months. By 2 he was able to say and recognize
red
blue
yellow
green
white
black
purple
He was able to pick out pink and orange if you ask him where they are.

A little before 2 he could say blue, and he didn't have many words then at all! He knew red, green, and yellow at that point also, but he used blue for all of those colors. If I asked him to show me something blue, red, etc. he could do it.
Not long after he turned 2 he knew all of his colors and as his speech improved, the names for them.
