After two... he's 2.5 now, knows most of his colors, but still mixes them up sometimes.

He could point to the correct color by 18 months and could identify the correct color by name around 19 or 20 months.

Same here. Both my kids could point to them at around 18 months. My DD was able to name them by around 21 months maybe? My DS was more like 2 or so before he said all the names because he had a speech delay.

thanks ladies...This makes me feel better! He knows red & blue but I just completely forgot that i needed to point this out to him...HE counts everytime we go up & down the steps...

And he also has a tendency of just saying any color if he doesn't feel like looking/thinking.
