I keep buying more and more toys and DS wants nothing to do with them. I think perhaps he is too young to enjoy them at 7 wks. He only likes being bounced/rocked and human interaction.

I am going to say about 3 months, he started holding things and trying to put them in his mouth. I think around this time, he was able to swat at the toys on the bouncer and glider seat we were using.

ditto. DS at almost 4 mos puts everything in his mouth and grabs & holds stuff. He started doing this around 3 mos. 7 weeks is too young

Around 3 months. At 4 months they are really into a lot of things.

7 weeks is too young, although mine were interested in the mobile at that age and would look at stuff on the play mat.

Yeah, too young.

DS started liking some toys at about 3 months, but honestly he didn't "play" until he was about 6 months

I would also say around 4 mos. Now at 5.5 their motor skills are so much better and it seems they see the purpose in some toys. Do you have a gymini that he can pay under? My kids loved that from the beginning.

DD is just about 10 weeks and she is just starting to get interested in her play gym, television, and she has loved her mobile for a few weeks now.
