When did your DC start wearing size 3T?
DD is about to be 2. She is tall, and my mom thinks she is ready for a 3T since she outgrew all her 24 month clothes. we are going to Israel next week and we need some spring/summer clothes. I am not sure which size to buy.

Get her the 3t.
Once DS hit 2 years old, I started buying him a size bigger. He's 3.5 now and I buy him 4t pants and tops, I buy him 5t and 6t.. They are big on him but he doesn't look ridiculous and they usually shrink up from the wash anyway.
you could always throw a belt on her if she's tall and slim like my DS is.

I would still buy some 24 months or 2T. She isn't going to be wearing pants so she doens't need the length anymore. Unless she needs it for her waist too.

24 months and 2T are different. I believe 2T adds length. And, if that's all she needs I would stick to a 2T. I would only go to a 3T if she hasn't had a growth spurt in a while. Thus, she might need the 3T.
Maybe purchase a few outfits in each size and try them on her before you go?

She went into Children's Place 3T sooner than other brands. Maybe try their stuff since they tend to run smaller in toddler sizes.

Andrew at 2 was in 2T. At 2 1/2 we switched to 3T, which are still a little too big for him at 3 years old.

Well, Cailen is a big boy, and I will only buy 3T now because he isgrowing so much and wears 24 mt/2T already!!! He will be 1 Apr. 4!!!

My DD is 22 months now and she has been in 3T tops for a few months. Even if they are slightly big at first, one washing and it fits perfect. She is still only in 2T bottoms.

Same here. DS is 22 months and has been wearing 3T shirts for a while now. Still 2T in pants.

I was told that the difference between 24mos and 2T is room for the diaper. They are basically the same for ht/wt. I think that's why The Children's Place doesn't carry 2T -- they just go from 24mos to 3T.
Marron is still wearing 18-24 months. Some of them (and some 24 months) are getting too short, but the 2T are just too big in the waist. I did buy mostly 2T shirts for her for the summer, but stuck with 24 months for shorts since length is not really an issue. She is in the 75th %tile for height -- 35 inches when she was at the peds at 22 months.
