When do babies move into the head down position??

Iam reading different things on the internet..some say 28-30 weeks, some say later.

I had a u/s yesterday and at 31 weeks she is still head up...im praying she can flip and doesnt get comfortable! my biggest fear is a c-section

my dr. said up until 37 weeks they can still turn but usually by 34 weeks they are in position. She also said that during labor anything is possible and the baby can flip around.

Two weeks ago, at my 30 week u/s, LO was transverse, but everyone said there is plenty of time for the baby to move. They said not to worry unless the baby isn't head down around 36 to 37w...then we would have to talk c-section.

Did they schedule you for another u/s? I'm going back at 34 weeks, but my dr thinks the baby has already moved, based on the shape of my belly and where he found the heartbeat.

It wasnt with my regular doctor....it was with a doc at the labor & delivery @ the hospital....I went in because I was having increased fluid discharge and nervous it was my water (with my first i didnt have the big GUSH everyone talks about, i had very small leakage & didnt even realize it was my water...so I wanted to go in to be safe)...anyhow they did the U/S to check fluids...fluids were okay but she did mention its funny the baby is still head up.

so i have an appt with my regular OB coming up, so ill see what he says @ my 33 week appt.

I think it really depends.. I know people whose LOs flipped in the 39th week. . and others who never did. .

there are a lot of things you can do to help them flip too . . acupuncture, massage, certain exercises etc. . as long as the person KNOWS what they are doing!

I would try not to worry. . your LO has plenty of time to move. .

My DS was breech until 36 weeks! I ended up with a C-Section anyway, so it was a big waste LOL.

DS went head down at 28 weeks and never turned again.

This time I am pregnant with twins. Baby A went head down around 22 weeks. But then flipped back to breech. Last week at 29 weeks she was head down again. I can tell when she is head down, my hips kill me.

Baby B is transverse.

Doesn't really matter to me since I'm having a c-section anyway.

My brother flipped at 41 weeks...when he was born at 42 weeks he was 11lbs 6oz...my feeling is that if he could flip, ANY kid can flip

ETA: My mom had gone in at 41 weeks for a C-section since he was breech. He had flipped sometime between her being admitted the night before, and getting on the table at 8am. The doctor sent her home and she had him naturally a week later.

At my 30 wk sono my little guy was already head down. Hope he stays that way

my LO has been head down since at least 30 weeks.

Both my boys turned late at 36 weeks.
