When do I change nipples?

I am using #1 nipples now - how do I know when I need to change to #2?

I changed nipples at 3 months. But Jared is a beast at eating...so it's different for every baby.

if you are also nursing, do not switch. if you switch to level 2 nipples, there is a good chance the baby will wean right off the breast, because the milk coming out of the bottle is so much easier that sucking on the breast. You can stay on level one's if you are breastfeeding also and not risk it. My daughter stopped nursing 2 days after I went to the level 2's....she was 5 months, and I was so sad! My best friend nursed for a year and kept him on level ones the whole time, he's huge and did fine, and never took himself off the breast.

I BF and switched him to level 2 at about 4 1/2 months. We still have no problem BFing. He was getting frustrated with the level 1s because it came out so slow (it took him about 50 minutes to eat 6-7 oz). Now he eats 7oz of BM at bedtime in about 12 minutes. I still BF the rest of the day (when I'm not at work) and it is not a problem.
