When do they switch to External dopplers sono than internal exams
SO far I have had 3 sonos, last one @ 9 weeks 4 days and they have all been internal sonos. When do they switch to External sonos and when can they use an external doppler for hearing the heart rate. We have heard the heart all 3 times, all via internal sonos.

My first external sono was at 12 weeks.
My first listen to the heartbeat via doppler was at my 14 week appointment.

haven't had the doppler yet - but the external sono for us was at our 12 week, NT test.

I had my first external sono at 12 w 5d
I had the doppler at that appointment too.

I am 18 weeks. My first two sonos were internal and my Level I (At 12 wks) was also internal. I had the doppler to hear the heartbeat at 16 weeks and I am hoping at my Level II they will be able to do an external.
