When do you add another meal?
DD has 1 T of oatmeal in the morning. When should I add an afternoon meal, and when should I increase these amounts to 2T?

Re: When do you add another meal?
I went from 1 tbsp to 2 tbsp pretty quickly. Then shortly after that I added a feeding at night. So now my DD gets 2tbsp of cereal in the morning with 1/2 a container of fruit/veggie and 2 tbsp at night with another 1/2 a container of fruit/veggie. DD is 5 months.

Re: When do you add another meal?
At 5mths, DS is eating 1/2jar fruit for breakfast and has a full jar of veggies for dinner. Ped told us he can eat as much (or as little!) as he wants as long as it doesn't interfere with his normal bottles. The real nutrition is from the BM/formula.
She also told me that 3rd meal isn't necessary just yet and that we have time. She said to stick to 2 meals for now.

Re: When do you add another meal?
honestly by day 3 of eating cereal we were up to 2+T of cereal. DS would just gobble down the 2T in about 3 minutes flat! It was nuts! So I just increased it as I saw fit. My ped told me up to 1/2 cup of cereal a day, and 1-2 jars of baby food per day are the max. DS does 3.5-4 tbsp of cereal in the Am and PM and 1/2-1 jar of food at lunch and 1/2 a jar at bedtime.
After I was sure he was having no reaction to the cereal I added a night feeding (with his bedtime bottle) and once I made it though most of the fruits/veggies and was sure he wasnt having any reaction, they got added to bedtime dinner too.
ETA: our schedule is 2nd feeding - cereal & bottle, 3rd feeding fruit/veggie & bottle, 5th feeding cereal, fruit/veggie & bottle and then off to bed, #1 & #4 are bottles only
