When does spring break start for college kids?
I'm trying to avoid booking a trip during spring break. I absolutely don't want to be anywhere near them.
I fell in love with the Hyatt resort in Cancun Mexico now if I book the trip the first week of May will I be alright?
I'm not sure when it officially starts. Anyone know?

Spring break is usually March/April I believe

each school varies but it's usually the first week of march.

May should be fine.
Many colleges end their semester in mid or late May anyway.
You will beat the spring break and the end of semester rush.

In May you may have to worry about the HS grad trips (schools in the south end the year in May instead of June)
I stayed in the Hyatt for my grad trip years ago...it's really nice! Probably even nicer without drunken 17 year olds running about

The first week in May will be fine - most colleges/universities are prepping for exam week around that time.
