When does the milk go away?

I attempted breastfeeding and I pumped for about 2 weeks after Christopher was born. Now Christopher is 2 months old (technically 9 weeks old) and my breasts are still full. When the heck will it stop? I'm trying to lose weight and I know that once the milk goes away, it will make a big difference. How long did it take for your milk to go away? TIA Chat Icon

Re: When does the milk go away?

I pumped for 6 weeks and it took another 6 weeks for my milk to dry up. Avoid warm/hot water on breasts when taking a shower bc that will stimulate production. I heard wearing a tight bra will help.

Thanks. I love taking hot showers, so that's probably why mine's still in. I guess I'll have to take cold showers for a while. Thanks for the tip!

I pumped for 6 weeks also and mine was gone very quickly. Jake is 10 wks and it's definitely gone. I also continued to take hot showers. Hate to break it to you, but for me it, it made zero difference in the weight loss area.
