When does the MLS listing come down?
Sorry, I know this has been asked before, but both parties have signed the contract and my house is still on MLS  Shouldn't it come off of public view when the contracts are signed?
UPDATE - it's down. It came down 2 days after the sellers signed. I guess I was a little impatient!

Sometimes they wait until things are totally finalized. If someone calls or emails about the listing the broker is supposed to say it is in contract.

ours stayed on till a few weeks after we closed, that's because the sellers agent was a moron though.

For the most part, they wait till closing. Ours came down a week ago and we close on Monday.

technically it should come off as soon as you are officially under contract. i would have your realtor call their realtor if it really bugs you.

We have been under contract for a couple of weeks and ours just came off this past Wed. It is up to the listing agent.  Good Luck with the house

I think it depends on the sellers and the realtor. Ours came down shortly after both parties signed the contracts.

absolutely call your realtor and mention it. the listing side is supposed to change the status to UNDER CONTRACT as soon as both parties have signed!! it totally irks me when they leave the listing up on MLS even though it's in contract, because it affects the comps for the area!!!
