When food says "Managers Special"...
Eat it right away. I guess you live and learn. We obviously got sick from the chicken we made. I bought it on Sat and ate it on Tuesday night. It was stuffed with stuffing. I never knew that "Managers Special" means it expires that day.  I thought it ment it was a special price or a special dish the manager liked!!!!!!!!
I never even thought to check the label. Either did DH so I don't feel so bad but I am such an idiot

Don't feel bad, I never knew that it meant it was expiring either. I dont think I have ever purchased a "managers special" but now I definitely never will!

I NEVER buys meats that say that or that has a coupon on it, because it is going to exprire very soon.

I always noticed that at dunkin donuts. I never knew that the food was expiring...I was going to say..What's so special about the manager where I would want to buy a apple stuffed donut?

I buy it if its within the next 2 days, and im using it that same day for a BBQ.

I buy them all the time, if you eat it that day or freeze it, it's fine. never had a problem with it. But, sorry you got sick!

I used to buy those specials all the time, but as soon as I got home, I would freeze it. I never had a problem with either beef or chicken.
