When going to see a vacant home with a RE agent.....
Is it OK to take pics of the house (inside and out)? Or is it up to the realtor's discretion to allow it?
If someone is living in it, then I can understand b/c it's invading someones personal privacy, but if its vacant, do you think its still wrong?
TIA.

I took pics of lots of houses inside & out because DH only came to see the ones I checked out first & said were worth it.

Re: When going to see a vacant home with a RE agent.....
The house we eventually bought was vacant when we looked at it and we took pictures....The real estate agent didn't say anything, but if she had we would have understood

Re: When going to see a vacant home with a RE agent.....
im a REA and i dont mind if people take pics. it shows me they're interested. if they want to take pics in a house that is lived in, then i ask the owners prior to them taking pics. if i show someone 5 houses in 1 day, how do i expect them to remember everything i showed them?

I always did, even if it wasn't vacant, I would ask the homeowners if they mind.

Re: When going to see a vacant home with a RE agent.....
I sell real estate in NYC not LI and my standard listing agreement notes that I can take photographs and advertise the property - vacant or not.
Typically the tear sheet I take with me to give to the customer has photos on it and the details of the property. Price, address, sq ft, taxes, school district etc.
I LOVE when customers take photos. It's an indication that they are interested enough to want to recall the listing later and show it to their spouse/family.

I don't see it being an issue.
