when is it my turn??(MAJOR VENT!!!!)

so tomorrow is my due date and well, it looks like there is no way our will be joining us, short of a miracle. Now I know I should not complain - I have had an amazing pregnancy with no real compliants for longer than a week or two when my hip hurt - and am still able to squat down, bend over, tie shoes, move comfortably, etc plus I still am wearing all my rings and don't look ready to burst (most people don't even realize I am supposed to ready to pop her out!)....but like most women I was so convinced that she would be early - so this week has stunk....

I have tried every old wives tale out there and nothing (well, I skipped the castor oil since it makes me nervous!) and now I am just sad . I do want her to be healthy and understand she is probably still cooking and all but all my hopes of a normal delivery are dashed.....now I am convinced she will never come out on her own.

what sucks more is I still have to go to the dr again....I hate drs (sorry, just do!) and as much as mine is awesome, I was so convinced my last appt was exactly that, my last....so another weigh in, pee in the cup, sono, etc tomorrow night.....

I have cried over this, gotten "sane" again that it is for the best, argued with dh just b/c I am pissy and repeated over and over....the poor guy is such a champ even though I know it kills him that I am miserable! Sadly, its not even that I am that uncomfortable physically - its just the emotional part of it I struggle with.

Part of me feels like I should have known - she wasn't planned and "messed up" my whole career plan thing so why should delivery be any different - but it stinks.....I know she is a blessing and I know I will love her so much when she finally gets here but enough already....when is it my turn??

sorry to vent and please don't flame me, I jst had to get it off my chest....I am so happy (but also jealous!) of all of you who are having your beans already and don't mean to sound obnoxious or ungrateful for this blessing of having a child, but I am just so beside myself right now - and I hate it!

eta: and to rub salt in the wound as I submitted, they called to comfirm my appts tomorrow night

I would feel the same way- I am trying not to get my hopes up that she will be early(she is due in early Jan but my whole family will be here for Christmas) but I know I will be as frustrated if she is on time or late.

u have come such a long way and u r almost there!!! just think within the next two weeks she will be in your arms and it will have all been worth it.

Seriously I was the same way at the end, especially since EVERYONE told me I would go early since I had GD Yeah right! Most first pregnancies come late, especially since date of actual conception really isn't an exact science. She will be in your arms before you know it!! Maybe your Dr will talk about induction when you go!!

Most first pregnancies come late, especially since date of actual conception really isn't an exact science. She will be in your arms before you know it!! Maybe your Dr will talk about induction when you go!!

A lot of first pregnancies go past their due date, try to hang in there! I know it's frustrating, I was 8 days late. You will forget how annoying it was once your baby is here!

I would, and possibly will, feel the exact same way. I still have another month to go and I'm constantly asking Luca to come out and join us. I'm sure like every expectant mother I'm hoping to deliver a little early and I know that I will be beyond frustrated if I make it to my due date and still feel like the end isn't in site.
Just do your best to keep yourself busy and entertained. The sooner time passes, the sooner your baby will be here.

I can totally see myself feeling and thinking the very same things if I get closer to my due date (and /or go past it) and still no baby! As it is, even though in some ways I don't feel ready I wish I could deliver now and just meet him already (and I still have 3+ weeks to go!)

Hang in there, and vent away .. that's what we're here for and we DO understand
