Turn key??

The house is upstate, does that mean furnished..........I have no idea.

TIA Chat Icon

Update.......I emailed the agent to ask her exactly what it meant. Here is her response:

Turn Key normally means it’s totally furnished sometimes down to the linens and kitchen stuff..reasonably neat and clean.. Just bring your suitcase and food after closing.

Should I just assume that this particular house comes furnished? She dd say "normally"

UPDATE #2....House is fully furnished. Everything is included in the sale. I am going to see it on Saturday. Everything looks like it is in perfect condition. wish me luck!

i think the terms refers to move-in ready. meaning the house is vacant.

I would interpret that to mean that it is updated and in great move in condition.

Yes, as in "turn the key and move right in."

I'd assume it at least had furniture if that was her description, maybe no linens but, basic furniture.

It could be that the people before didn't want to deal with moving their furniture for whatever reason (a relocation or a older couple moving to assisted living).

Good luck!

My parents bought a "turn-key" in Florida and the house came with EVERYTHING. All furniture, lamps, electronics (3 TVs), linens, towels, cutlery, dishes, beach umbrellas!!!

My only concern would be the condition of the furnishings. My parents were lucky and everything was barely used, but it would be a pain to get stuck with someone else's junk that you would then have to get rid of.

Not sure Betsy. All I know is that I am amazed at the prices of homes when you go North!
