when looking at real estate websites how do i know what school a house goes to?
I know you can see the district but how coulld i find out the particular school. Ex in oceanside where would I know if its school 5 or 8?

You need to call the SD to confirm. They will tell you if you give a street address.

You can also put the address in Zillow.com and they will list the schools for you.

zillow is always wrong in my area so not the best source
elementary assignments change all the time - call the district

I would call the district - MLSLI and zillow etc often I find mistakes in districts. The most accurate answer would be from the district itself so there are no mistakes.

yup, I called the SD to find out....
I'm in school 8 now (we're moving out of Oceanside) but also went to school 8 and it's an amazing elementary btw!!!

That's correct. Zillow lists the schools that are geographically closest, not necessarily the ones "tied" to your house.
For example, I live a few blocks from a high school and Zillow lists that as "my" high school, but it's actually in a whole different school district.

You could also FM me, I lived in Oceanside for six years and can pretty much tell which elementary it is if you tell me the street.
