Re: when should i stop sleeping on my belly?
I've heard so many different things, from books and all docs are different, BUT my doc said at 12 weeks to stop sleeping on my back and my belly

I would say when it becomes uncomfortable. Until then, it's pretty hard to control if you are usually a belly sleeper.

Re: when should i stop sleeping on my belly?
When you can't anymore . I was a belly sleeper and I slept on my belly until I was almost 7 months. Dr. said it was fine as long as I was comfortable. There is plenty of cushion in there for baby.

you are not going to hurt the baby so its all about what is comfortable for you

Re: when should i stop sleeping on my belly?
when your baby kicks you for sleeping on your belly... and stops kicking once you've switched position.
mine actually did that to signal that he's feeling confined. :D

Re: when should i stop sleeping on my belly?
i've always heard that your body will tell you when to change positions - when it's no longer comfortable...you'll know...

Re: when should i stop sleeping on my belly?
I personally think you should sleep on your belly for as long as you are comfortable doing so. But that's just my opinion. It's so hard to get a good night's sleep and to get comfortable regardless of sleep position.

Re: when should i stop sleeping on my belly?
I still sorta sleep on my belly at 29 weeks. You can sleep whatever you way you want and whatever way is comfortable for you until it's not anymore. There are no hard and fast rules, the baby is well cushioned and protected in there, you won't hurt him/her. Your body will let you know when you can no longer lay on your back or belly or wherever, it will just become uncomfortable for you. I was still sleeping my back also until just about 2 weeks ago, I noticed that I was having a bit of trouble catching my breath, so that was my body's way of telling me that back sleeping was over.
