When should you start to wash

baby clothes, sheets, basically everything? I don't want to do it too soon, but I want to be ready.

Also, when did you install your car seat?

Thanks!

I washed everything about a week before my EDD (#1 was 11 days late anyway). The carseat was installed and inspected at about the 38 week mark. I remember being so excited about the carseat! Chat Icon

Re: When should you start to wash

I washed a bunch of stuff last wk after my shoer. I washed all of her blankets and sheets and a bunch of onesies and little outfits that were 0-3 mos. I also washed her little socks, towls, washcloths and bathrobe. Some things I left with the tags on and I will wash it as I need to. Now I have everything washed and put away in her dressers Chat Icon I love going in there and looking at it all.

Re: When should you start to wash

Started washing 0-3 months and newborn sleepers, onesies, sheets, washcloths, receiveing blankets, regular blankets, side snap t-shirts right after my shower, around 34 weeks. I don't want to wash too many 0-3 month clothes until she's here.

The car seat will be installed this weekend. I'll be 38-39 weeks. I guess I should have done the car seat sooner thoughChat Icon

Re: When should you start to wash

I started washing stuff a few weeks before she was born. Don't wash everything- you may want to return stuff she doesn't fit into.

Dh installed the car seat in the hospital parking lotChat Icon

Re: When should you start to wash

Whenever you have time!

My shower was on May 1st (I was due May 26) and I hadn't washed anything yet when he was born on May 9th. So my mom washed everything I would need while I was in the hospital.

And DH learned how to install the car seat base then too!

Re: When should you start to wash

Good question. I am just so excited to wash and put everything away and I am only 26 weeks. I guess I should wait until I have a dresser to put them in thoughChat Icon
