When to buy the Christmas Ham
I'm so scared the stores are going to run out before I have a chance to buy a ham but I don't want to buy it too early and chance it will go bad (happened one year - we ended up eating Chinese food that Christmas).
If I buy it Sunday, will it be ok for Christmas day?

A spiral or a fresh ham? I bought my spiral ham a few days ago for Xmas Day. Those last a while if you' don't open them. The year I made a fresh ham, I bought it a few days in advance as well.

A spiral ham. I guess I'm so nervous because a few years ago I got a ham and when we opened it it was all slimy inside. That's the year we ended up having Chinese food for Christmas.

I think it would be fine. Chances are the one you buy is already sitting on the shelf at the store anyway!
