When to have another.....STILL not feeling it....

So, for anyone who isn't totally interested in having more than 1.....
Does your DH want another?

I guess I know deep down inside that I want to give DS a sibling, but right now I am not feeling it.
I don't want to be pregnant, I don't want 4 months of a screaming infant, and I know it's 10x harder with a toddler.

For anyone with an "only child" or anyone who's just not ready for #2.......how do you know if 1 is it for you?

Well, I do not want to be pregnant, I had the worst pregnancy known to woman and I even think I have PTSD it was that bad

My DH really wants another, DS is almost 2, we are at an impass most of the time about it....I am really just letting nature take its course at this point....

I had an overall easy pregnancy and DS was a dream as a NB. But its funny I just said to DH last night "is it odd that I have no desire to have another at this point?"

I know I will have another one at some point, I want DS to have a sibling, its important to me. However I am not sure when, but I know its not time soon!

DS is 1 and I can't imagine even thinking about it before he is 2.5 but we will see. DH is with me, he is happy with one but knows at some point we will have one more.

Honestly, I AM pregnant with number 2 and I don't want to be pregnant. This is not fun, not with a toddler. But, it's a means to an end for me and every day that passes is a day closer to having 2 kids that will have each other forever.

Now, those are my feelings on it - it's rough so it has to be worth it for you to do! There's no time clock - you're young and healthy and if you need more time then by all means, take more time!

after my first i didnt want another until DD was almost 5. DS was born when she was 6yrs 10months- and it was perfect, she is such a help.

i have ZERO desire to be pregnant. i HATE HATE HATE HATE pregnancy. but for me it's also a means to an end, and i know that the end result will be worth the suffering of today (and tomorrow... AND the day after that...).

but if you're undecided, what's the rush? i would take the time to figure out what you really want.

I can't tell you how happy I am to hear you say this - I really feel like such a b!tch but the pregnancy this time around is just a PITA. Last time it was so much fun b/c everything was about being pregnant. This time, notsomuch!

Gina - the worst thing that could happen is being pressured into such a life altering decision. Give it time - revisit the idea in six months, one year, 2 years - whatever you need.

There are people who only have one -- like myself.

Don't think you HAVE to have another baby if you don't want to. It's a personal decision.
