When to start flea/tick prevention?
The last time I gave my dogs Frontline was in November. I'm guessing April is the time to start up again?

I normally use frontline year round but this year we stopped it in November. I started again in February. I would say to start it now since the weather is getting a lot nicer.

Start now!
They actually recommend you use it year round. Sometimes it takes a few months of treatments for the pet's resistance to get up to 100%. We had a flea problem once, and the exterminator guy said that most infestations were caused by people who had treated their pets, but had started too late in the season so the pet still got infested with fleas and brought them in.

all year round for us too. My exterminator told me that fleas are just as bad in the winter as they are in warmer months. Not sure if it's true or not.

Yes you can do it year round mostly because of fleas.
I would start it immediately for tick purposes, also it wouldn't help to spray your backyard once for the season
