When to wash the baby clothes?
I Have 6 1/2 weeks left I have all his clothes up to 6 months hanging in his closet. Plus I have packages of onesies piled up. We should be getting his furniture in 2 weeks. I was going to wait until then so I could fold some things and put them in his drawers
When do I put together the pack n play, swing, etc
I have cats so I want them to get used to the stuff...

Re: When to wash the baby clothes?
I have 2 cats as well and we set up the pack n play and swing probably when i was 33-34 weeks. I wanted the cats to get used to seeing them around and to make sure that they weren't using them for themselves.
I am almost 37 weeks now and i started washing all the baby clothes last week. I only washed up to 3 months though.

Re: When to wash the baby clothes?
I would start washing and putting away in drawers and anywhere your cats can't get too. As you get further along, it's that much less you'll want to do. Have your mom or sister come over and help you. It's a HUGE job. We only washed up to 3-6 months. Anything that was 6+ we kept tags on and hung up.
Wash all of your towels, sheets and wash cloths. You can never have too many of those.
My cousin came over and washed, dried and folded everything and it took all day.
I'm 37+ and we just took the car seat out and put together the snap & go.
We are going to install the base this week and put together the swing this weekend.
ETA: IF your furniture isn't there yet, do you have any storage containers you can use, so the clothes won't get cat hair on them?

Re: When to wash the baby clothes?
I would start one month before. And also dont wash EVERYTHING. You wont be using all of the newborn stuff b/c they grow so quick. I have so much stuff that I didnt use for DS b/c he could only fit the NB stuff for like one week.

Re: When to wash the baby clothes?
I started at about 36w. All those little baby items fill a washing machine quickly and make for a lot of folding!

Re: When to wash the baby clothes?
I did 2 large loads of baby laundry. 1 full of clothes (none larger than 3 months) and one for all linens (wash cloths, blankets, and towels). I finished the later load last night.
We put everything together after my first hospital stay since we weren't sure how much longer I was going to be pregnant for. We installed infant seat, swing, strollers, and bouncer at 34 weeks.
BTW, tomorrow I will be 38 weeks.
