I'm usually the peace maker. Except with the two that are sisters. I try to stay out of that one, but I usually get dragged to one side.

Stay out of it. Neither will view a 3rd party as a "mediator" but each will feel that the 3rd party is siding with the other friend.

It depends for me, too. It'd mostly not be my business to intervene, so I'd stay out of it... unless it's a HUGE fight that might end friendships, so I would probably try to mediate.

me too but i try to play mediator as well
I mean don't get me wrong i try my hardest ...but it becomes difficult when i know one is right and the other is wrong...

I've been the mediator several times in the past. In those cases - the girls fighting with each other didn't know certain things and when it was brought to thier attention in a non-combative way (me) it really helped clear up the reason for the fight. I don't side with anyone, I just try to present the situation in a way that's clear to both sides where they can resolve the difference. It really depends on the situation though, when I did step into two friends fighting - it was only because their fight would have ended up in the destruction of a friendship. Sometimes it's just things that seem very silly to those not involved, so I usually stay out of it when that's the case and let them figure it out on thier own
