When was the last time you got a raise?
I know I'm "lucky" to have a job but they keep promising a raise and piling on the workload. It's been over 3 years (when I changed positions and graduated- they kinda HAD to lol). Im in a non profit. How about you?
Eta and do you work in the private or public sector? Or what industry do u work in?

Annually, plus I had a "secret raise" based on merit a few years ago.

Re: When was the last time you got a raise?
My company didn't give raises ever to anyone, they gave bonuses. I got one every 6 months I was working there. Then 3.5 years later I got fired without so much as a verbal warning.

Re: When was the last time you got a raise?
I work at a for-profit, have been there since 1/08 and have not seen a raise.
My company too does not give out raises, they do the bonus thing but they are hard to get for my department (i.e. you are dependent on OTHERS to get their work done in and approved for you to receive). In the end it's usually a lot of aggravation for a couple hundred bucks.
My boss has been hinting around that it will be "nice Christmas" this year so we shall see.
FWIW, I've only gotten pay raises in the past by going to a different company and in my line of work, they aren't all that huge anyways ;).

Re: When was the last time you got a raise?
I've gotten a big raise with a promotion in 2008. 2008 to 2009 I got 7% based on merit.
Then the economy crashed- I've gotten 2-3% (which doesn't even cover cost of living).
I plan on asking for a big raise this year based on merit. Its probably not going to go well. haha

Re: When was the last time you got a raise?
I own a consulting firm, so my income is completely based on the amount of clients I have. I also work as an employee about 28 hours a week for one of my former clients, the entire staff received increases last year based on my recommendation as the consultant, but they were all seriously under paid. We also have a bonus system that I put into place for all of my clients that allows team members to earn significantly more money with daily and monthly bonus goals. Most of my clients have not given raises in 3 years, but they all operate on my bonus system now. I am in private healthcare/ dentistry
My DH is a residential builder and his employees received small increases in 2010 and decent bonuses this year.
Neither DH or I have ever worked in an industry where COL or other automatic annual increases are standard.

Re: When was the last time you got a raise?
twice per year...one cola and one step increment. For the next three years i get no cola, but still get my increment. It usuall turns out to be chump change after taxes, but heck...it's something.

Re: When was the last time you got a raise?
Annually - although the percentage has dropped bc of the economy. But last year I received a 3.5% increase. I also get an annual bonus equivalent to 2 weeks salary in December. I work in advertising operations.
