When you "adopt" a child for the holidays...
how much do you usually spend? Do you buy one thing or multiple things?

Re: When you "adopt" a child for the holidays...
I do the Christmas Angel through Salvation Army.
Last year I ended up buying everything on the list, even though I know I didn't have to. I did shop "smart" - I went to Kohls on Black Friday and got a bunch of clothes on the list for practically nothing - I think in total including a coat, pj's, jeans, shirts & socks, maybe $75. Then I got a few toys too. I probably spent $150. But I don't have kids and DH and I don't exchange.
I have done the NY Cares Winter Wishes and they usually ask just for one gift to be sent that it's in the $25-30 range.
