When you brought DC home from the hospital...
...did you put the baby in the infant carrier in your room or did you do it at the car????
I was just watching A Baby Story/Taking Home Baby and everyone is always putting the baby in the carseat at the curb. I always find this so strange...and then I realized that I find it strange b/c I never did it that...but..I dont know how others do it.

In the room. Then I was wheeled down to the car with the carseat on my lap.

In the room. DH brought up the snap and go too- and he wheeled DD while the nurse wheeled me.

We had her all strapped in the infant carrier in the room. The nurse even came and "inspected" it. She showed us where the chest strap should be, how tight it the straps should be, when we should adjust the straps up a notch, etc.

In the room. We also asked the nurse if we did it correctly (good thing, we did not have it snug enough).
You are right about Baby Story--I never thought about that, but they always seem to do it outside which is odd.

In the room. Both times the nurse had to check we had a carseat and that baby was buckled in properly.

we brought the car seat to the room and did there. the nurse then checked to make sure she was secure and then walked us down to the car.

I was wheeled out with DS in my arms and put him in the car seat once we got to the car.

With DD they let me hold her while they wheeled me out and we strapped her in once we got to the car.
With DS(who stayed in NICU for a week) they had me strap him in his seat, and then put him on some little thing and wheeled him out in his seat.

Guess I'm different. I did it in the lobby. DH went downstairs a few minutes before me to pull the car around then he met us in the lobby w/the carseat. The woman that wheeled me down helped us adjust the straps.

We did it at the curb. The nurses thought it would be too much to have DH and I carry 2 carriers out. He went and got the car, pulled it around and I held them until he got there.

I carried her out, and put her in the car seat outside. If I had a winter baby, I would have done it in the room, but it was a gorgeous warm sunny day, and I wanted to hold her!

In the car. When I had Sarah the nurse told me that legally I wasn't allowed to bring her out of the hospital in the car seat. We didn't even bring it up for Andy.
