When you fly Jet Blue or any other airline
do you ALWAYS purchase the trip insurance For example Access America Charges $15 per person.
Do you think it's really necessary?

I don't buy it for domestic airfare because I know if I cancel (I've only done that once) I will get a credit and travel in the future. I usually go Southwest and they credit you.

I personally have never bought the trip insurance and thinking about it I've been really lucky that nothing has happened.

Okay what if you were flying to Florida in late November? I think Hurricane season ends in October right? or is it November?

Hurricane season in Florida is late August / early September.
I've never purchased trip insurance. I've read the terms and it seems to not apply for most of the situations I would think I'd need it. Airline tickets are so inexpensive it just doesn't seem worth it to me.

When i booked my HM i was thining about getting the insurance cause i was going in September (hurricanes everywhere) but the my travel agent said it only applies if you get sick, so i didnt get it...i was going sick or not. We totally lucked out with perfect weather in Bahamas that week.
Oh and i love JetBlue!

Hurricane season technically goes to the end of November.
I don't usually purchase trip insurance. You need to be careful as well when purchasing it for flights as to what it actually covers.
I flew an airline once that went out of business while I was on a trip (Skybus, they were short lived) and anyone who had purchased their insurance was SOL because it didn't cover bankruptcy.

I never buy additional trip insurance. And to date, we've never had an experience where we wished we had purchased it.
