Re: when you started cereal
I swear, I sat with bated breath, tiny Gerber spoon in one hand, organic cereal in the other, WAITING to 5 months to feed DD so she would sleep through the night. When that day arrived, I allowed myself to stay up late to watch SNL because I figured,"She'll sleep tomight because she ATE CEREAL."
NOPE! Eating cereal did not change a thing. I know, I KNOW~ SOME babies DO sleep the night once they start cereal. In fact, my doctor seems to think ALL babies should be sleeping through the night by 6 months. Apparently my daughter is has other ideas.

Re: when you started cereal
Nothing has really changed. My friends DS is two weeks older than my DD and he had been sleeping through the night and once he started eating solids he is up all the time now.

Re: when you started cereal
Nothing has changed in relation to sleep BUT DD has always been a good sleeper.
We waited until 5.5 months to start cereal...the only thing that changed is she was extremely constipated & in pain. She is EBF & I guess it was rough on her system going from all liquids to making a solid "movement."
Now that we started fruits, she's been a bit better.
ETA: In regards to her taking more/less BM...its been about the same give/take an ounce here/there.
I still make her 7 oz. bottles & most of the time she'll finish them, sometimes she'll leave an ounce. (Also in the beginning you are mixing bm w/ the cereal)
