When you started weaning to milk?

At Ryans 10 month visit the Dr. said I could start weaning Ryan onto milk...

Week 1- 1oz milk to 7oz formula
Week 2- 2 oz milk to 6oz formula
and so on...

by his 1st b-day he'd be on ALL MILK...

He has been doing very well... but I noticed his poop has been a little mushier than usual... he has no rash, and his poop is never formed... so this is not totally bizzare...( I wouldnt classify it as diarrhea)

Is it just the switch? teething? Nothing at all?

TIA

I weaned in 4 days even though the dr wanted me to wean in 7 and no poop problems.

I don't think it sounds like Ryan is having poop problems but definitely keep an eye on it.

I wouldve thought nothing of it- but then I read these posts about children having poooping issues and having a milk allergy- so I feel like Im "looking" for something now...Chat Icon

ETA- my Dr wants me to wean in 8 weeks... but Im guessing thats only because he had me starting to wean him earlier than some Drs do...???

I just give her milk in a sippy cup instead of juice and so far so good. She probably only takes about 2-3oz total a day though so farso good.
We can't really wean her off formula yet because she's still not eating enough and the ped. wants her to get the nutrients from formula still.
The reason she's getting milk at all is because she's been refusing bottles.

ETA: I think if Ryan had a milk allergy you probalby would have noticed it by now with yogurt and cheese.
