When you stay at Hotel do you check for bed bugs?
Usually a quick check. Lift the corner of the sheet and check the fold on the side of the mattress.

I was once on a trip with people who got them in their room in Montauk. They were so upset(understandably) and wanted to leave and I convinced them not to. They ended up getting moved to a new room and having the motel pay for their stuff to be cleaned at the laundromat. To save anything, it must be washed in very very hot water. The worst thing you can do is go home right away if you find you have them. You do not want to bring them home with you! get your stuffed double washed in as hot of water as possible.

I learned the hard way on my last trip to Ca, and I will be checking for them for now on. I found one and didn't know what it was. The hotel took every single belonging of ours, including stroller and luggage to have it all chem cleaned. Such an inconvenience ! But bringing them home would be worst situation

always. we pull out the sheets and check the mattress. we've never found any so far, and hoping that stays true!

I always check for bed bugs too. I take off the sheets and to the mattress and push down hard on the corners of the bed. If you see black dots those are the bugs.
I also do the same for the pillows.
When I come home I immediately put our clothing in the wash. Also, wipe down the remote with a wipe. It is the dirtiest thing in the room.
I bring a ziploc bag and place it in a ziploc bag. That way I can use it and it's got a barrier. LOL, like a remote condom. LOL

I have had this in a room or two when I went away. Nice to know they try to clean the gross remotes.
