When your 3 year old/preschooler have a bubble bath..
how long do you let them play in there?
Do you consider it just wash and go? or do you allow them some play time?

Most of the time I let him play as long as he wants to. Usually 20-30 minutes, unless we're going out, then he gets a quick shower.

DD LOVES the bath but due to her skin I really have to limit the time shes in. So usually play for 10 mins, soap, rise, out.

Re: When your 3 year old/preschooler have a bubble bath..
AJ is 2 but she's been bubble bathin for awhile now. We give her as long as it takes for the water to cool
Oddly enough she likes her water warm. I will NEVER forget those first few weeks from the hospital I made sure the water was 'right' but she SCREAMED the whole time during a bath. Shaking in screams. Then I put a little bit of warm water on a towel and put her on her shoulders and she immediately quieted down. I kept warming up the water bit by bit until we found what temp worked for her. No more drama and tears. Now she's 2 and she likes it warm enough that it takes a while for it to cool.
ETA: she has a BLAST in there until it gets cool then she stops looks at us and says "Ok, done" and tries to stand up to get out. haha

Re: When your 3 year old/preschooler have a bubble bath..
We don't do bubble baths (my uncle is a urologist and says that is one of the top ways to get UTIs). We do regular baths though. I try to keep them to 5-10 mins - mainly b.c they get very dry skin patches. But if they are really having fun I will let them stay longer on occasions. I never make the bath that warm so they are usually ready to come out in a few minutes.

I don't. DD has been getting showers since 14 months and DS since 3.
I hate the fact that they sit in that soap.

Re: When your 3 year old/preschooler have a bubble bath..
DS usually starts the bath and lets DS play until I come in and start the cleaning. I would say whole thing is about 30 minutes long.
Play Hair Body Play Empty tub, rinse toys Rinse DS with shower head Out

Re: When your 3 year old/preschooler have a bubble bath..
I usually let Kaydyn play in the tub around 15-20 mins until the water gets cold. I don't really give her bubble baths b/c I'm afraid of UTIs (I get them A LOT). After she plays for awhile then I will sometimes let out some of the water and put some more warm water in and then wash her up.
If she's having a lot of fun I sit and read on the bathroom floor. It's fun for her and some down time for me.

Re: When your 3 year old/preschooler have a bubble bath..
My DS has been taking showers instead of baths since right around when he turned 3. On occasion he takes a bath but its less than once a month.....when he does I let him play for 20ish minutes.
