when your baby started sitting up
did you retire the mat-- or still use every now and then to put them on their belly, etc.

DS sits up all the time on his mat. I've taken off the bars over it (more because DS was trying to pull himself up and broke one)

same here, and i still make him do tummy time, it's good for his neck control even though he sits up fine on his own

does he play with the things on the actual mat?
I am trying to save space-- and I just put out the foam floor thing, so I am wondering if I still need to use the mat. I know she;ll still play with it--but I gotta consolidate.

Once he was sitting independently I put the play mat away. He was/is all over the place making it impossible to keep him in one position. He has grezat head control and still spends time on his belly, its just when he wants to. I bought one of the foam puzzle piece mats and he plays on that.
