When your child started walking/crawling...
Joseph has been standing/walking for about a month now and meal times are becoming a disaster! He does not want to be contained so I find myself feeding him as he's playing or moving about. Is anyone else's baby like this?? Or am I just creating bad habits??? He is just so active!

Jack only eats or drinks in his chair or stroller. So he never hasen't been contained. Growing up I was only allowed to eat in the kitchen and I know it saved my parents furniture and carpet and Dh's family was allowed to roam and eat anywhere and I can't say the same for there home. Same for his carseat.
Ps. I also have a beagle so if we let Jack roam he would never get a chance to eat which is another reason.

This is exactly how Ryan is...
I find myself giving him more and more table food, and letting him feed himself... just so he'll wanna be there, and eat

Re: When your child started walking/crawling...
Well, the highchair went out the window about 2 weeks ago because we'd been eating out alot and he got used to the table chairs at restaurants. We have one here in the kitchen but no matter what he won't stay in it for more than a few minutes to eat. (He's been eating the table foods for about two months too)
And yes, our dog has learned the place to be is right by his side no matter where he is because she always gets good treats
I hope it passes once the newness of walking wears off!!!
