When your DC gets out of the bath/shower

And you dry them off with a towel - do you put the towel in the hamper after one shower?

That's normally what I do - one use and then it gets washed - but then tonight I had an epiphany - could I possibly get two baths out of one towel? Chat Icon Chat Icon

I am with you. Ella takes a shower twice per day. After each shower I put the towel in the wash.

For me it really depends. Sometimes my son takes it off and throws it on the floor so then it goes in the hamper...Or my one yr old dd pees in it so that goes to hamper too. Otherwise I try to get two baths out of it.

I put it in the hamper, but for myself, I use the towel more than once. I take Thpmas into his room and dry him there, but if I dried him in the bathroom, I may be inclined to put the towel on a hook and use it again...

That is exactly my thinking.

His towel is maybe on him for all of 45 seconds - and he is clean - so maybe I'll push it to two showers! Chat Icon

Re: When your DC gets out of the bath/shower

For months I washed it after one use, then I too had an epiphany!!!! I now use the same towel for two baths. I hang it up behind the door to dry.

Goes right in the hamper.
I bundle him in the towel and bring him into his bedroom to get dressed.
I can never trust if ummmm he's peed in the towel or not while being wrapped in it.Chat Icon

Oh God no! I bathe them every night, 2 kids, that would be way too much laundry, especially since DH can never seem to hang his towel up either and uses a fresh one every day Chat Icon

The kids towels each get hung up on a hook on the back of the door and used for at least 3x before hitting the wash.

I mean, really, they are coming out of the bath/shower clean - how dirty could the towel be? Wet, yes, dirty, no! Chat Icon

I can a few uses out of it. He literally gets patted dry and it gets hung up immediately - no need to launder after 1 use.
