When you're good all week
and there's no reward on the scale, how do you stay encouraged?

Nicole, that's what I was going to say.
Isn't it frustrating?? I was going to kickboxing 4x a week for 5 months leading up to my wedding, only to have my wedding gown MAGICALLY SHRINK (that's what I'm calling it) 3 inches! Now I'm on WW for 2 weeks, I'm CONSTANTLY hungry, drinking tons of water, and the scale still reads 'LOL' on me! Weight loss, to me is more like

Ohh I know how that feels!
I usually wonder what I did wrong. If I go through my meals and exercise, I can usually find the reason. Sometimes it's Aunt Flo's fault. Sometimes I had a lot more sodium or ate something that makes me bloat. Sometimes I didn't eat enough (so many people don't consider this!) and my metabolism slowed down.
And sometimes, I can't figure it out. So I chalk it up to an "off" week and remind myself that I'm not in a sprint. I'm in it for the long haul. And 2 months from now, I'm not going to be stressing over it. So I try my best to move on emotionally and start planning my meals and exercise for next week.

ITA with this. Also, while I used to get discouraged and pretty much give up, now it just makes me more determined to see that scale move, so I plan my week with more rigor. I try to change up my meals or workout plan, I try to add more water, or SOMETHING. Example: I'm doing p90. The first 2 months were very successful but the last 2 weeks have slowed down, and I have lost and then gained back what I lost (sooo frustrating). Because I can't change my workouts (it's a set program) I decided to add 10 minutes of high intensity exercise from a website I found to my daily routine, just to give me a little extra oomph. I'm hoping it works!

Re: When you're good all week
It definitely takes time to catch up...at least that's what I tell myself.
ETA: I might have a great week & a so-so outcome on the scale, but I find it may take a couple of weeks for it to catch up.
I also try & think that it's much better than the alternative - which is going back to my unhealthy ways & making things worse.

Re: When you're good all week
It is very frusturating, but, I tell myself I'll get it next week!
I play in my head all the "What did I do's"?
I try not to get to discouraged, but, I know it can be annoying!

Re: When you're good all week
I take my measurements at the beginning of each month. If I watch what I eat, I'll see changes there.
