Where are our weather people?
Surprised no one is talking about or sharing forecasts for the storm for this weekend. I have a lot to do this weekend, so I need to know if it's realistic or not.

Re: Where are our weather people?
My brother is DSNY and just called me tonight to be sure I can watch his dog fri-sun if the snow is as bad as it "might" be. They have to be ready no matter how early the predictions
I hate this friggin weather.
I keep telling DH I want to move to Florida

It's too early.
The snow hasn't even hit the ground any place so I heard not even until Wednesday.

Forecasts more than 3 days out are completely inaccurate.

Because it's too far out. It's only Tuesday, a lot can happen during the week. Let's not panic just yet.

Where are our weather people?
DH and I have a date this weekend at a good sushi restaurant KID FREE! I'm not freaking out about snow yet and there is obviously nothing we can do about it but I'll be pretty pissed if we have to cancel this once in a very blue moon opportunity!

I agree! They SUCK at predicting snow so it's not worth talking about until AT LEAST Thursday!

Re: Where are our weather people?
I follow Tri-State weather on Facebook. They are really good. I will wait until Wednesday, Thursday before I start thinking of canceling any plans. The storm is over 1,000 miles away right now. Once Wednesday Night comes they will have a more accurate forecast. I Love Weather and use to learn so much from Waterspout!!

Where are our weather people?
I follow the Norris Report on FB and they're pretty detailed on how to predict storms (but even they said it'll be a day or two before they can get a better read on this storm).

Re: Where are our weather people?
I like Tri-State Weather on fb and this is the latest news
The 12z Euro is in and this model now takes the heaviest snow south. It gives the blizzard with over 2 feet of snow to the middle atlantic states of Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and North Carolina while giving significantly less to states like New York further north. This is why we say the ultimate path of the storm will be critical to who ends up in the bullseye and with the storm still more than 3 days away, it is too early to give amounts for specific areas. The storm will be fully on land later tonight for better sampling to give a more accurate projection by the models. We will see what the next runs show this evening and tonight.

Re: Where are our weather people?
It is what it is. We can't control mother nature and what we see is what we get.
I am tired of the over hyping with all weather people, especially those that are DYING for a snowstorm.

Someone on here posted a link to this map in the past, and I've always found it fairly accurate
