Where can I buy a super cool trunk?
I already checked out the usual: pier 1, overstock, etc.... some are nice, but looking for more so I know I made the right choice.
it's for living room

like a large trunk to use as a coffee table? Restoration has a lot of that kind of stuff.

we are renting a 1920's bungalow, before we were renting a 1920's colonial and both times there were trunks in our attic from the original owners! It was so cool (I'm a history nerd)!! One of the ones in our old home was one of those travel trunks you'd see in Titanic, where is opens up and there are hangers and drawers and it had stamps on the outside saying where is was and what dates!
In the colonial, I had dh bring that one down to the living room, it weighed SO much, I wanted to use it as our living room table, it was too high, poor dh.
In this house, we brought one downstairs too, and it looks great!
Check out craigslist, I've seen quite a few!

I've got a few originals from my inlaws who immigrated to America with them. I love them and they look just like the ones in PB, RH and all those other stores-but better! If you are up for older, authentic ones, hit up antique shops.

we got ours from crate and barrel. love love love. pics are in album (towards the end there are pics of the decorated living room).
